from "Driving In Color"! Pictured above is one of my favorite photos of Hank, driving a sleigh for the first time in the mid '90s.
The website was started almost 20 years ago to let people know about the wonderful sport of carriage driving and to highlight my journey with my Paint gelding, Honky Tonk Cowboy.
Over the years we learned a lot about the sport and used the knowledge to start another horse, Mohicans Phantom in driving. This culminated in two World Championship titles in 2001.
Browse our pages to learn more about these special horses as well as articles on training a driving horse and our extensive list of both carriage driving and Paint/Pinto links.

Growing up, I spent many delightful afternoons at a neighbors farm - gardening, cooking and feeding chickens, cattle and many, many cats! However the high point of any visit was when we would go out to the barn and open the doors to the stable where the work horses had once been stabled years ago.
All of the harness was still hanging on its hooks; dusty and covered with cobwebs, but I was entranced by it all. I had always loved horses, but there was something about the harness that attracted me even as a child. That attraction turned into love for the sport of carriage driving; I have been fortunate to have two wonderful driving horses to share that love with.
