...above is our "Forget-Me-Not" garland, also found on Jeannie's page...

WELCOME TO and thanks for visiting Hank's memorial page; we lost Hank in October of 2003 to complications of Potomac Fever. some of these photos are ones we have shared before, and some are brand new, so please enjoy.

Hank came to us in June of 1985, as a three year old. He had many firsts in his life with us; here are a few of them....

This is his first day with us, at Orchard Hill Horse Center, in Elizabethtown, PA. Look at that mane and those eyes!!!

This is Hank winning his first of many blue ribbons under saddle, at Twin Brooks Horse Show Association in Harrisburg, PA.

At age five, Hank won his first American Paint Horse Association All-Around Amateur championship, at Long Acres, in Carlisle, PA. He went on to win five top tens in year-end standings for the PA Paint Horse Club, including the High Point Amateur Trail Horse.

Hank was the definition of versatility; he rode English...

...he did the Western...

...well enough to take my husband to an open show reserve championship at age 16...

...but his true love was driving.

He did the pleasure, but excelled at obstacle driving.

He met many new friends driving

...and got into the holiday spirit a few times as well...
.

His beggest accomplishment in driving was winning the APHA Honor Roll title in OCAP/PAC driving two years in a row, 1995 and 1996, the first horse to accomplish this.

A close second to this honor was showing in the first Brandywine Carriage Driving Show in 1995, and bring home a ribbon in the obstacle driving, shown below....

We did like to show, but we also liked to have fun...doing games...

...to dressing up...

Hank was an ambassador for the breed and for driving in our area, doing everything from clinics

...to teaching our niece Kelsea the basics of riding...

...which resulted in her showing in Leadline at age 4...

....but most of all, he was my friend and my teammate for almost 18 years...

At age 20, he resumed his show career with his new owner...

Hank (taken in August of 2002) with his new owner as of 2003, Alyta Stum. They had great success together, taking top ribbons in English Pleasure, Driving, Trail, Equitation and Showmanship, and had qualified for the District 4-H show in Driving and Trail before his illness. We share our sorrow with Alyta over the loss of this great individual.

Here is a photo of Hank and Alyta practicing their driving in July...
